Telecom Integrated Business Architecture

TMF Frameworx 18.5 offers best practices guidelines and practical tools helping to improve the end-to-end management of telecommunications services.

The Integrated Business Architecture consists of the following key components:

  • Business Process Framework — a set of guidelines, also known as Enhanced Telecom Operations Map (eTOM), which enables the implementation of the business process driven approach to managing a telecommunications enterprise.
  • Information Framework — a unified reference data architecture, also known as Shared Information and Data Model (SID), which defines telecommunications-specific business objects, their characteristics and relationships.
  • Application Framework — a set of guidelines, also known as Telecom Application Map (TAM), which describes the way applications are implemented and procured from the market, and anticipated trends in their evolution.
  • Open API Program — a set of standard REST based interfaces enabling rapid and flexible integration among operations and management systems.
