Managed File Transfer

ClientRegional Transportation Agency

The current Enterprise Resource Planning solution requires technology for exchanging files between internal systems and external service providers. A centralized platform is implemented for secure and controlled sharing of batch information with third parties.

Case Study Overview

Initial State

An on-premise Financial Management application suite requires some form of batch processing technology to be able to send periodic information updates to third-party financial services providers and government agencies.

Target State

A comprehensive and cost-effective Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution is architected and put in place to enable the current financial systems with controlled and secure file exchange mechanism to interface third-party cloud services.

The MFT solution leverages the current investment in the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) infrastructure with respect to scheduling and SFTP transport features, and complements it with a DMZ-resident tier of file transfer gateways that provide file-level encryption, compression, archiving and virtual file system services.
