Case Study Overview
Initial State
The agency has over 500 workplace insurance centric applications and supporting tools deployed predominantly on the client devices and at the datacentre facilities, with some exposure to cloud services. Such historical mix requires a strategy and a roadmap on how to make the applications current, while lowering the cost of operation.
Target State
Application Portfolio Management (APM) strategy, governance model and reference architecture are developed, in relation to the adjacent Service Portfolio Management, IT Asset Management and IT Service Management functional domains.
Foundational APM materials are further evolved into the capability map and application roadmap, providing a clear direction to the IT Leadership Team on which capabilities to evolve first, and how to approach broader cloud adoption.
